Canyon County Flute Choir
About the Flute Choir
The Canyon County Flute Choir brings together flutists from across the Treasure Valley to perform a wide range of flute choir literature, from classical transcriptions to contemporary works. The ensemble provides a welcoming environment for flutists of varying experience levels to grow musically and perform together.
As one of MACC’s longest-running chamber ensembles, the Flute Choir regularly collaborates with the Canyon County Children’s Chorus, Symphony, and other local musicians for special performances throughout the year.

Payton Harrison, a Boise native, is currently pursuing a degree in Music at Boise State University. A dedicated trumpet player, he has performed with numerous ensembles, including the university’s Blue Thunder Marching Band, Symphonic Winds, Jazz Orchestra, and Symphony Orchestra, as well as with community groups such as the Boise Philharmonic Orchestra and Youth Orchestra, Serenata Orchestra, and the Brass Band of the Treasure Valley.
An emerging conductor, Payton has been entrusted with leading several of these ensembles and is recognized for his expressive yet precise conducting style and nuanced musicality. He has attended workshops across the country to refine his craft as both a musician and conductor.
