Meet the Directors

Payton Harrison, a Boise native, is currently pursuing a degree in Music at Boise State University. A dedicated trumpet player, he has performed with numerous ensembles, including the university’s Blue Thunder Marching Band, Symphonic Winds, Jazz Orchestra, and Symphony Orchestra, as well as with community groups such as the Boise Philharmonic Orchestra and Youth Orchestra, Serenata Orchestra, and the Brass Band of the Treasure Valley.

An emerging conductor, Payton has been entrusted with leading several of these ensembles and is recognized for his expressive yet precise conducting style and nuanced musicality. He has attended workshops across the country to refine his craft as both a musician and conductor. When not practicing, studying, or arranging, Payton enjoys cycling along the Boise River Greenbelt, taking in the sights and sounds of his surroundings.
